Gary and Vina Powder-House Fire

Hi, My name is May-Britt Jensen and our community is fundraising for two of our community members.

On the afternoon of April 2, 2023 one of our elders Gary Powder along with his wife Vina, lost their home and belongings due to a house fire. Everything they have worked for all these years is gone.

We live in a small remote community and in times of need we try to help and support one another as much as we can, this is the northern way.

Please know housing is non-existent in Uranium City, SK. We are not sure what they will do, but if we can help to give them a new start, lets do it!
