Gary and Kelly Barkley

The Barkley family is sincerely and humbly hoping that they can garner assistance from the community in this unusual time of need. Typically generous givers of their time, talents and support, they find themselves now asking for the same consideration.

Both Gary and Kelly have had serious and complicated medical issues that have and will be preventing them from working for the foreseeable future. Gary recently had a life-threatening stroke that has severely affected both motor and speech skills, and he has a lengthy road to recovery. Kelly is undergoing her third back surgery in as many years in July, and unfortunately is also facing an unexpected surgery for an infection in her knee, which will take place this week.

In being good stewards to their children, finances have become extremely tight and these health crises are exasperating an already precarious financial situation. Unable to work, simply put, they will be unable to meet their monthly living expenses. Kelly’s one wish is that they are able to keep their family home, and this may well be in jeopardy.

The goal for this fundraiser is six months of living expenses, which is $30000.

Gary is home, in recovery and will start his rehabilitation this week.
