The life of my mom and dad (Gini and Gary) has been a wild ride, the last 5 months being no exception.
Per Gary: “April 19 2022 I fell and broke 2 vertebrae in my back. Today i took 10 steps and transferred to my wheelchair and back to bed. Thank you for your prayers. I felt them all the way.”
The good news is that Gary has, over the last several weeks, shown great improvement - walking again, learning to transfer to a wheelchair, and getting stronger. But they have a long, tough road ahead!
They would probably not like me to make a big deal about it, but we could use your help to support them. I know they are well-loved and I have had people ask how they can help…
My mom’s car needs about $1200 to repair, and my dad has improved enough to be looking towards leasing or buying a motorized chair so he can start living life in community again. (Chairs start at around $1,800.) Anything you can donate would help! All your thoughts, prayers and kindness are so appreciated.
