Gary & Shelly Wainwright

This campaign is for my best friend Stephanie Wainwright's family.  The Wainwrights have had a very challenging year due to both Gary and Shelly's medical conditions.  Neither is able to work at this time, and they are unsure of when or if they will be able to return to work.  I created this GoFundMe in hopes of raising money to help the Wainwrights keep their home.

Last summer, Gary was diagnosed with a Glioblastoma (a form of brain cancer), leading him to early retirement.  Throughout his treatments, his wife Shelly took on the responsibility of driving him to all appointments, handling his medications, and working full time to make up for the loss of income.  Over the past year, the Wainwrights have adjusted to their new situation, but in early July, Gary was hospitalized for about a month for what the doctors believe was a seizure.  Gary is now home and slowly working towards recovery.

While Gary was in the hospital, Shelly was diagnosed with Breast Cancer.  Over the next few months, Shelly will be receiving chemotherapy treatments, surgical procedures, and potential radiation therapy.  Although we do not know how long these treatments will need to last, we do know that she will be out of work for a significant amount of time, leaving the family without a main source of income.  

Anything at all that you can donate is extremely appreciated, and no donation is too small.  All donations will be going towards medical expenses and to help the family keep their home.  If you are unable to donate, please keep the Wainwrights in your thoughts and prayers to help get them through this difficult time.
