The home of our parents, Gary and Connie, was robbed and $15,000 was taken from their locked safe. Our mom was saving that money to surprise her family with a trip to Disneyland and to see her granddaughter in Southern California. The robbery of one's home is scary and dreadful, but knowing that it happened to such special, caring, and compassionate people makes it all the more heartbreaking and tragic. Our mom's impulse to sacrifice and strive to bring joy and happiness to others is unmatched by any person we've ever met and our dad's willingness to open his home to anyone in need is a selfless trait that few in this world hold. This has been a cold and miserable time for them, so we want to restore some warmth and hope. We want to show them that their love and compassion for the people around them did not go unnoticed. Whether it was to raise us from pipsqueaks to honorable adults, to babysit our children while we worked for our families, to serve us a home-cooked meal when we were hungry, to make us a bed to sleep in while going through a difficult time, or to simply receive a card on our birthday every single year, we want them to know that what they have done, both big and small, was important. Please, help us raise the $15,000 that was lost. We'd also LOVE for you to send a card to them expressing how important they are to you and how they have helped you in the past. Even if you can't donate, a card would mean so much. Thank you all for your time and donation. It truly means everything to us.
