Gartree Action

Gartree Action is a local group made up of residents from the Market Harborough area in Leicestershire. We have formed to oppose building a new 'Super' prison at Gartree on green fields close to a local primary school and the popular historic Foxton Locks

We need to raise money to defend an appeal by the MoJ against the unanimous decision of Harborough District Council to refuse planning permission. This is a complex case and we need the help of a barrister and other specialist planning consultants to help us to protect our communities from this huge development that will bring additional large amounts of traffic to the area. Gartree Action is supported by both Foxton and Lubenham Parish Councils.
