Hi. My name is Mary-Ann and I am fundraising for good friends, Garth Griffiths and Michelle. This fundraiser is in hope that Garths final months may be spent without financial stresses, particularly coming up to Christmas.

Anyone who knows Garth, previously from Tamworth, knows that he has spent his life making people laugh..on purpose at times too ‍:) I'd like to think of this as repayment for all the laughs and happy moments he created for us but we know in reality no money will ever repay or replace that.

Garths symptoms came on suddenly and 1 week later on September 21st was told he had terminal cancer then given up to 12 months to live. If that wasnt frightening enough, Garth has endured alot since and consequently due to his immunotherapy treatment not working well, his time has now been reduced to a couple of months. Imagine that! Suddenly your house bound, sick and facing one of your biggest fears.

With Garth no longer able to work (his beloved job as a Wardsman at Redcliffe Hospital) and Michelle also now unable to work due to caring for Garth at home, there is currently no real income coming in.

With ongoing expenses, living costs, current inflation on everything and just 1 medication being $145 each time, then medical equipment he will need and a funeral, it's just too much of a financial burden to bear.

My hope is for Garth to be able to try to enjoy his last moments with Michelle, his boys, his Mum & Dad and family without having the worry of money. They've had some very hard and upsetting conversations that had to happen quickly and that in itself is alot. The despair felt for everyone waking moment of no hope or time.

I know times are hard for all of us and that it is often intimidating when you want to donate but others are donating more so for this reason I am appealing to you to understand that "Big things have small beginnings". Any and all amounts will add up so please..all amounts mean so much x These donations can even be weekly or fortnightly if you are able ❤️.
