I’ve Signed Up for a Ride I Might Regret (But It’s for a Really Good Cause)
This September, I’ll be cycling in Sir Chris Hoy’s Tour de 4 - a brilliant new charity ride that’s all about raising money and awareness for cancer, and showing the world what living with stage 4 cancer can look like. So, I’m dusting off my bike, squeezing into some lycra, and joining in.
Why I'm Doing This
Let’s be honest: I like cycling... but I also like sitting. And snacks. But prostate cancer affects 1 in 8 men in the UK, and it’s time to do something that actually matters.
I’m riding to support Prostate Cancer UK, because research, early diagnosis, and better treatment can and do save lives. And if a few hours of thigh-burning effort can help with that, then count me in.
(Also, if I don’t do something healthy soon, my bike might list itself on eBay)
How You Can Help
If you can spare a few quid, please donate! It’ll go straight to Prostate Cancer UK - a charity doing real work to help men and their families through diagnosis, treatment, and beyond.
Even if you can’t donate right now, sharing this page would be hugely appreciated. Think of it as cheering me on from the sidelines, just without the cowbells and awkward Lycra eye contact.
Thanks so much for the support - I’ll let you know how sore I am after the ride!
