My dearest husband, my best friend, my soulmate, 28 years of marriage, a son, father, brother, grandpa, uncle, cousin, friend. This is the hardest thing I've ever had to do.
- As many people know, Garry was a helping hand. He welcomed everyone into the family; he was at everyone's call, a caring man who loved us all. He was in the Marines and a union retired heavy equipment operator. Such a wonderful person all the way around, he wanted the best for everybody. In 1990, he was in a bad bulldozer accident, broke his back and many other bones falling from a 50ft cliff backwards on a machine. As years went by, his back was just not the same, causing so much pain. He was told steel rods might help, but that was the last thing he wanted to do. It got so bad he did it and got a 42 steel rod cage put in. It was still painful for him and actually made it worse. In 2014, he was diagnosed with cancer, everyone's worst nightmare. Doctors told him he had 5 years, but nope, we weren't going for that. God has the last say. It's been 10 years now, but these past few years have been the hardest as his pain progressed. Just when we thought he was getting better, his cancer started getting aggressive. He didn't want chemo; he put up a true fight. He didn't even take pain medicine unless he was in severe pain and couldn't move. Two years ago, he was put on oxygen due to breathing issues. We tried everything we could for him; doctors were running out of answers. As he fought as long as he possibly could, on July 16th, 2025, God called him home. He was 57 years old. His birthday was July 9. He's now with his father in heaven, at peace, no more pain and suffering. We appreciate everyone's condolences as we all grieve. A cookout will be held on Aug 23rd at our home them are his wishes any questions ask family. Any support towards Garry's family will be more than grateful. Thank you.
