Help us help this loving family!
Recently our friends Garrett, Elizabeth, Scott, and Angela have been hit with the most devastating news any family could get. Garrett Armstrong, aka "groundpounder", has been diagnosed with b-cell lymphoblastic leukemia. For those of you who don't know what this is, it is a cancer that affects your b-lymphocytes, these are white blood cells that grow in your bone marrow. These cells aid in the fight against infections, among many other things.
Garrett is in the third grade and attends Brownville Elementary School and he loves learning with his teacher, Ms. Cail. A few of Garrett's hobbies include playing his xbox, PC games, and his Nintendo switch! Garrett loves everything and anything to do with the police force, fire fighters, and the Army!
My sister and I used to play sports along side Garrett's older sister, Angela. Garrett and their mom Elizabeth never missed a game! From team dinners, to fundraisers, to rallies, and all of the above, Garrett was always willing to lend a helping hand, I remember this boy as always having a smile on his face! "Groundpounder", like his older sister, is a very involved athlete at our community recreation department. He loves to play basketball, soccer, and baseball!
Garrett and his family have always been huge contributors to our small community and school district. Always willing to help out in any way they possibly can. Well, now it is our time to give back to this small town family! No family should have to worry about medical expenses or their stay at the hospital while comforting their sick child/brother! Please help us help this beautiful family!
