Garrett's Fight: Medical Fundraiser

Donation protected
In a time of much grief and vulnerability, I'm unfortunately reaching out to family and friends for support. On May 6th, my cousin (brethren) Garrett Winheim just 21 years of age was struck by a motorist while operating his motorcycle. Garrett was just moments away from the University of Missouri when the operator of a truck failed to yield, entering oncoming traffic and throwing Garrett from his motorcycle at no fault of his own. He was wearing a helmet along with the proper personal protective equipment during the accident. He suffered a broken femur, pelvis, cracked ribs, liver laceration, spleen laceration, and blunt force trauma to the brain. Garrett was placed on a ventilator; however, his progress has been beyond expectations, and he is now beginning to breathe on his own.

Due to the level of trauma his brain has received, he will have to undergo a very extensive brain trauma rehabilitation program.

I'm asking for your help.

All proceeds will go to medical expenses and will help the family with the cost of the brain trauma rehabilitation program, which will take several months.

Garrett was preparing to attend law school next year upon graduation from the University of Missouri.

No need to feel obligated to donate (especially in the economy we live in), but every little bit helps.

Even if you decide not to donate, please say a little prayer. God bless and thank you for your support.
