Garrett's 40 for 40

On the last day of his 39th year, Garrett will run 40 miles around his hometown, Sonoma, California. Starting at 5am, he plans to take a loop around the east end of the valley, joined at various points by friends, supporters and unwitting fellow exercise enthusiasts.
Sometime in the afternoon, he will end the race at Depot Park behind Sonoma Plaza, where he will be met by the support staff to refuel with burgers and beer!
Join the fun by cheering along the route, biking alongside for a segment, meeting up at the finish, or donating to a very worthy cause.
All donations will be matched by Garrett after the race!

826 Valencia is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting under-resourced students ages six to eighteen with their creative and expository writing skills and to helping teachers inspire their students to write. Our services are structured around the understanding that great leaps in learning can happen with one-on-one attention and that strong writing skills are fundamental to future success.
Every child should have the right to extra help with writing- a skill that can shape the rest of their lives!
