Hello everyone,
My name is Garrett Nichols, and I am thrilled to announce that I have earned a spot on the Greco-Roman wrestling team for the Tokyo 2025 Deaflympics , taking place in November 2025! This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to represent our country and to share my love for wrestling with the world.
Why I Need Your Support:
In addtion to the cost of trip to Tokyo; I need to attend three training clinics out of the state. These clinics are hosted by USA Deaf Wrestling and that is where all members of Greco-Roman and Freestyle wrestling team from all over USA to train and improve together. Also, I am a member of the United Wrestling Club in Union City, CA, where I train weekly to hone my skills. Unfortunately, the costs for these clinics, membership fees, and the whole trip to Tokyo all significantly adds up.
Here’s what your support will cover:
- Flight Costs: Traveling to 3 clinics and to Tokyo for the Deaflympics.
- Boarding and Food: Accommodation and meals during clinics and in Tokyo.
- Monthly Membership Fees: Covering the cost of my membership at United Wrestling Club.
- Additional Expenses: Any other expenses related to my participation in the Deaflympics, including transportation within Tokyo and necessary gear.
