Aloha friends,

My recent diagnosis of Stage IV (4) colorectal cancer has been the hardest news I’ve had in my life. I would have never foreseen that at 35 years old while just starting to build my life that I’d also be fighting for it. I moved to Hawaii 12 years ago on a one-way ticket with a backpack and a dream. This is where I found home and the love of my life, my wife, Kara. We have 3 fur children and have been wanting to grow a family for years. As many of you know we are self-employed with a small moving business I started from the ground up which has led me to many great friendships. I’ve lived an active lifestyle with sports as a huge part of my daily life. I’m only now understanding that this is the strongest place I’ve arrived in my body, mind and spiritually. My battle ahead is to beat the spread of cancer that has moved from my colon to my liver and lungs. Upon conquering the first battle, then moving on and eradicating the tumor in my colon. I’m taking a combined approach of treatments to attack this best as I can. My faith is in God and I know I’m in his hands. I’m mentally strong to face this head on, although my body is not physically as strong as it once was. With that being said, any support your heart extends will be gratefully appreciated to help with my medical expenses. Any unused donations will be going to St. Jude’s or directly to children of need.
