Garret's Mission Trip to Mexico

I hope 2024 has been full of blessings for you! I am writing to share some exciting news of my own, and to ask for your support in an incredible mission God has called me to serve with this upcoming year!

Most of you know Karissa and I moved back to Minnesota last summer 2023. Since moving back home, God has worked immeasurably in our lives. We bought our first home last fall, got setup with great job opportunities, and have had the joy of being able to connect on a more intimate level with family and friends again. We also found a new church home at Renovation Church. We started to serve in various capacities at church and got connected with a weekly house church to create deeper fellowship and connection with other believers. Renovation church partners with various ministries to create mission opportunities for it’s members. It is here that I got connected with a mission group called Walk the Talk Missions (WTTM). WTTM partners with Homes of Hope and Youth with a Mission (YWAM) to build homes for families in great need in Ensenada Mexico, blessing them with shelter, safety, and generational stability. There are also opportunities to work with children in a local orphanage and a serve in a feeding program alongside a local church.

Jesus instructed His disciples in the Great Commission (Matthew 28: 16-20), “... Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations.” All of us who put our faith in Jesus are His disciples, and when we’re called for a specific purpose, we heed His call! I have always had the desire to use my gifts in the trades to serve and bless those who are most vulnerable. I feel that God has called me to join WTTM on their next missions trip in January 2025. I will be gone from January 24th – January 30th. I prayerfully hope and expect to see God move mightily in the lives of those I encounter, and to see His kingdom grow significantly while I am there. For this mission, I am asking for both prayers and financial support. I need to raise $1,000 to cover the expenses for this journey to spread God’s word and serve the vulnerable in Mexico. Please pray that God uses me to share the Gospel boldly to lead people to a life with Jesus Christ as I work to support them by providing some of their most basic needs.
