Starting in July 2022, Nathan began to have an illness. It was determined to be diverticulitis; 21 days in the hospital and two major surgeries later, Nathan ended up with a colostomy bag, a temporary stoma and a hole in his intestines repaired.
After his first surgery, he became sicker, and they went back in and had to separate his sigmoid. However, it had become attached to his bladder, and he was so inflamed that they couldn't physically remove it. A third surgery is still needed to help remove that; however, they have to bring in exceptional surgeons due to the complexity and dangers of this upcoming surgery.
Nathan is the one who covers the family with insurance and works full time, while Julie concentrates on raising their two young kids.
His medical bills, which are currently over $200k, therapy, detox, and help with the kids so Julie can be with Nathan have left them needing a little extra help. If you know Julie and Nathan, you know they will do anything for anyone and now is our time to help them where they need it.
Update 10/14
