GARI NEEDS OUR HELP!

Gari has been my dear friend for over 60 years. We grew up together in Long Beach and were classmates at LBHS (class of ‘63). Recently Gari has fallen on hard times and now she desperately needs help. Gari is awaiting hip replacement surgery, is in a great deal of pain and is unable to walk or work. To compound matters, she was forced to vacate her furnished apartment and she can’t schedule the procedure until she has a home to return to afterwards. While she has found a small, affordable apartment, it is unfurnished. A person simply cannot have major surgery and not have a bed or a couch to use while recuperating. At this point, Gari is facing this journey alone, with no resources or support system. I’m starting this fundraiser to help her with a few months’ rent, basic furniture and home goods, and to offset surgery costs.
