05/10/23 Update: Due to the impact COVID had on the school, students and how seniors were affected by the shutdown, we are resuming fundraising efforts to help this team get their rings.

07/01/20 Update: Initial campaign raised $870 towards their $6,000 goal.

On February 29, 2020, Garfield High School’s talented, hardworking Boys Varsity Soccer Team was crowned CIF Los Angeles City Section CHAMPIONS by defeating Gardena HIgh School in a thrilling game, final score of 3-2.

The last time the Boys Soccer team won was in 1996! Our boys’ goal was to win CIF and commemorate this accomplishment with a championship ring. Unfortunately, a few weeks after this amazing win, the world changed due to the Covid-19 Pandemic. It forced schools to shut down for longer than anyone expected. Fundraising efforts came to an end while schools remained closed. Due to the low-socio economics of our school, it is impossible for our students to afford anything outside their basic needs. Some students had to work to help their families get by. 

This campaign will allow relatives, friends, community members and soccer fans to be a part of this paramount recognition of the Garfield High School Boys CIF Champion Soccer team.
