Dear friends
We hope this message finds you well. We are writing to you today with a heavy heart and a sincere request, one that’s not easy for us to make.
Life has presented us with challenges that we did not anticipate; last year a car drove into our small restaurant and despite doing everything we could to stay afloat, we find our selves in a position where we need to reach out for help. This comes after much thought, and it is written with the utmost humility.
“Over the past 12 years our entire family has worked very hard to keep this dream of owning a small business alive (we came to this country 24 years ago and ever since worked and worked very hard to get the AMERICAN DREAM; because we believe this is the LAND OF OPPORTUNITY, where if you work hard you can achieve and accomplish your dreams.
last year our small restaurant was hit by this driver who was just an old timer who did not know what exactly he was doing. Repairs took over 6 months, all though we continued to stay open. However, because our business looked like it was closed to the public, we lost money despite being open. No attorney would take our case and the landlord took the money from the insurance while we were left with a few hundreds which did not do much to alleviate our situation; the struggle only got worse with the raising costs of eggs meat and other food products, everything else as well insurance, rent, utilities and we know this sounds maybe like you too… because we are all in the same boat with the living cost going through the roof.
While we are exploring all available avenues, including work, and other community resources, they are simply not enough at this moment; (our landlord wants to pursue an early termination of lease due to unpaid maintenance fees) so we are reaching out to you with the hope that, if you’re in a position to do so, you might consider offering financial support and also asking you to please please please come to one of our small restaurants and buy breakfast or lunch to help us through this season of hardship.
Please know that any amount, no matter how small, would make a meaningful difference to us . More than anything, your support—whether financial or emotional—means the world to us . If you’re unable to assist financially, we completely understand, and deeply appreciate your kindness in simply reading this message.
Thank you for taking the time to listen to our story. We remain hopeful and committed to moving forward, and your compassion gives us strength.
With gratitude,
The Garcia Family
