My best friend and a tremendous sheepdog Gannon had an emergency operation Sunday-Monday night to save his life. We have an estimation of £6000-7000+ with the hospitalisation.
Despite having a very quiet day and nothing but resting after food, his belly started to swell and soon went rock hard.
Gannon himself put on a brave face and never complained, but at the emergency Vet the Xray showed the worst fear - GDV , also known as twisted stomach, and he needed to be operated asap to try save him before there's too much damage to survive.
The operation was not easy sailing, and there is still the risk that the surrounding tissue will go necrotic (die) , but he is doing well at the moment.
I am having to sell my young sheepdogs and trying to get advance from work, unfortunately this will not be even nearly enough and I am really struggling to cover the Vet bill which needs to be paid asap. We have an estimation of £6000-7000+ with the hospitalisation.
So many amazing people encouraged me to set up this fundraiser, and even I feel ashamed and like I am robbing people's hard earn money - I am extremely grateful for every penny anyone might want to help with.
Don't know how to thank everyone enough for their very kind and encouraging words while in the middle of the emergency nightmare and wanting to help us. xx
