Help Us renovate our small town cultural center:)

Dear GoFundMe Community, 

Me and my friends, with collective efforts, have managed to create an amazing art center for a small town in Armenia. Currently, we are looking for some additional funds to complete the renovation of the backyard and equip our audio recording studio. The complete list of the projects, that are lacking funding sources, are presented on the bottom of this message.

Some of you might not know this, but our town is facing a scarcity of public funding for cultural and educational projects. Town residents mainly commute to the capital city for employment, hence we have limited public funding capacity due to small size of the locally generated tax revenues. Hence, we, as a community, have to rely on our own ingenuity and personal means for making sure that our residents have opportunities to attend cultural events and engage in arts.

The town's name is Charentsavan and it is situated in Kotayk region, 35 kilometers north of the capital city, Yerevan. The art center's name is Gamma Cultural Center. We opened in July 2021 and are fully operational by now. Gamma Cultural Center offers one of a kind experience for kids and adults to spend their after-school and after-work hours learning art skills, gathering for cultural occasions, meeting and greeting visiting artists and familiarizing themselves with world's cultural heritage through concerts, documentary and/or movie screenings and live conferences. The current schedule for classes includes chess playing, painting and drawing classes. We already hosted numerous concerts and poetry reciting evenings, movie screenings and many other cultural events for kids and adults, including community member meetups for community-related topic discussions.

A little about myself, I was born and raised in a small town named Charentsavan, in Kotayk region. I am a professional pianist and organist, a graduate of Komitas State Conservatory in Yerevan who participated in many acclaimed international competitions, was a fellow of International Fund after V. Spivakov, a scholarship recipient for Master Class in Organ conducted by Jean Guillou in Paris.

My passion lies in teaching music and I have worked at a local art school for many years. Learning to play a musical instrument is an amazing experience for kids, however, for learning to appreciate and love arts, kids have to be exposed to many cultural experiences. Me and my artist friends, have been pondering upon a creation of a perfect cultural environment for our community for years. We created this center from a scratch and proud ourselves for the positive impact that it is having on our community.

Ողջույն , Ես Վահագնն եմ  Հայաստանից

Բոլորովին վերջերս իսկ ավելի ստույգ 2021թ․-ի հուլիսից, իմ արվեստասեր ընկերների հետ Չարենցավան քաղաքում հիմնել եմ Գամմա անունով մշակութային ժամանցի կենտրոն։ Այն մի կենտրոն է, որտեղ ցերեկային ժամերին փոքրիկ երեխաները սովորում են նկարել  ու շախմատ խաղալ, իսկ երեկոները այստեղ կազմակերպում ենք տարատեսակ մշակութային միջոցառումներ, սկսած դասական երաժշտության երեկոներից մինչև պոեզիայի երեկոներ։ Գամման շատ ունիկալ է, քանի որ այստեղ նաև գործում է Չարենցավանում միակ անտիկաֆեն, որը դարձել է տեղի արվեստասեր հասարակության հանդիպումների սիրելի վայրը։

  Գամմա կենտրոնի ստեղծման համար բավական մեծ դրամական միջոցներ եմ  ներդրել , (համենայն դեպս իմ ու Հայաստանի տեսանկյունից)  և այս պահին անավարտ են մնացել Գամմա կենտրոնի բակի հատվածի բարեկարգման ու ձևավորման աշխատանքները, և ունենք խնդիրներ՝  սոցիալական մեդիատիրույթներում որակյալ տեսաձայնագրման ու  հեռարձակման հետ կապված, որը պայմանավորված է բավական թանկարժեք սարքավորումների ձեռք բերման հետ։

 

 Բոլորովին վերջերս եմ համացանցից տեղեկացել այս հարթակի մասին, և մի տեսակ վստահ եմ, որ այստեղ կլինեն արվեստասեր մարդիք, ովքեր կկիսեն մեր ցանկություններն ու կօգնեն մեր պրոեկտը ավարտին հասցնելու համար։
