Gamer Aid - Australian Fire Services
Online, we have many homes. Offline, we have just one. That one is currently burning in catastrophic ways that we have never had to endure before.
There are thousands of people in danger at the moment and they need your help! The Esports & Gaming community of Australia is rallying together to raise funds for our brave and persevering Rural Fire Services.
If our leaders won't stand up and help, we can.
Any donation helps. All donations enter the draw to win prizes from our incredibly generous sponsors.
Who you are and where you’re from:
GamerAid is a community movement, working to unite the gaming and esports community to raise funds for our Rural Fire Services
Your relationship or contact to the intended recipients of your campaign’s donations:
We have approval from the CFS to raise funds and will be directing all the money received there. Other approved campaigns include the Salvos Disaster Fund. A small amount will be utilized to deliver the 200 headsets kindly donated to us by Sennheiser Gaming. All donations enter the draw to win. You can learn more about this and check updates at gameraid.com.au or through twitter. All proof of transfers will also be uploaded here and available on request. Please email [email redacted].au if you would like to learn more.
To be completely transparent. I, Aiden Hiko, will be overseeing withdrawals and distribution. I will be withdrawing the money into our Gamer Aid account and distributing the money evenly between the approved charities. Updates on these withdrawals and transfers will be shared here (GoFundMe) and social media.
A clear explanation of how the donations will be spent:
Donations will go towards equipment and services for the Rural Fire Services of Australia., as required by them. A small portion of the donations will go towards the delivery of 200 headsets, donated as prizes to encourage donations.
Your plan to get the campaign’s donations to the intended recipient(s)
Withdraw the funds, process shipping for the prizes to our generous donors, then split evenly between the VIC, NSW, and QLD Fire Services.
Please note, funds from this campaign specifically will be directed to a team account initially, to allow funds to be dispersed directly to Firestations in Australia, as well as cover costs associated with sending prizes etc.
