Game On Columbia County: Boosting Local Sports & Play

Help Us Build Columbia County's Sports Future!
Columbia County is experiencing an exciting period of growth as families seek out a more rural lifestyle, moving away from downtown and urban areas. Yet, amid this growth, our community faces a challenge: the lack of accessible sports fields and facilities. Additionally:
- Existing youth recreational programs are challenged to coordinate with existing fields and compete against the school programs and sports,
- A number of athletic organized recreational programs and opportunities are missing, including golf, volleyball, indoor soccer, pickleball, and lacrosse to name a few.
- Organized adult leagues and opportunities are non-existent.
As a result, many talented young athletes are drawn to sports programs in the Portland Metro area, leaving our local opportunities behind.
That’s where Columbia County Sports (CCS) comes in.
What is CCS?
CCS is on a community-driven mission to transform Columbia County into a hub of high-quality sports-based entertainment and family-friendly activities. Our vision is to create spaces where friends and family can come together to enjoy sports, participate in organized leagues, and engage in both recreational and competitive sports.
Our Goals
1. Provide State-of-the-Art Facilities: We aim to build and improve sports facilities that cater to athletes of all ages—from hobbyists to aspiring stars. Our locations and facilities will be designed to host local sports leagues, school sports, and recreational athletic activities.
2. Support Local Programs: We are committed to giving back to Columbia County's school booster clubs, recreational sports programs, and related community initiatives. We will allocate a portion of our resources to support and enhance these programs, ensuring that they thrive and continue to serve our community and youth.
This part begins now - we'll donate up to 10% of these incoming donations to the respective booster programs in the county.
3. Foster Community Engagement: By creating gathering spaces for sports and recreation, we hope to bring people together, build a sense of community, and provide opportunities for healthy, active lifestyles.
Why We Need Your Help
We are NOT a non-profit, but we are deeply committed to investing any success we achieve into the local youth athletic programs and community projects. This small and early support will help us lay the foundation for CCS, enabling us to build these facilities and support local sports programs effectively. We need a lot more than $25k to finance our plans, but this small start will ideally showcase to our lenders and investors the commitment we have from you, the Community to bring this dream to reality.
How Your Donation Will Make a Difference
- Facility Construction and Upgrades: Your contributions will directly fund the FIRST CCS developments located at the old St. Helen's Golf course.
- Program Support: We will donate back to support school booster clubs, recreational leagues, and other local programs that contribute to the development of our youth.
- Community Events: Donations will help us organize events and activities that bring people together and share our plans and mission.
