Galway Junior Trap Team

Spring of 2021 is the first season for the Galway Junior Trap Team and we are in need of support to get this program up and running!
The team practices and competes at Galway Fish & Game Club in Galway, NY and operates under the New York State Clay Target League. Our goals as a team are safety, marksmanship and fun (in that order). We hope to form a bond between our local youth & their families to the local Fish & Game Club, and to shooting sports.
Currently we have 41 participants from grades 7-12. All members of the team must complete hunter education if they have not already, and must complete hands-on safety with our coaches and instructors. The team will practice twice a week until competition starts in March. All competition is virtual, with scores submitted online, and no travel necessary.
We are asking the community for donations to help with the cost of supplies, team apparel for the athletes, the cost of the online hunter safety course, and costs to register with the NYS Clay Target League to compete.
