Galva Marching Band Uniforms

The Galva Marching Wildcats have a proud tradition of musical excellence in the Galva, IL. community. Within the past 4 years, the program has been working to ramp up its quality of performance and has been competing on an increasingly high level around the state of Illinois. As the premier performance ensemble from Galva, we feel that we are ambassadors of our school and community.

The current uniforms for the Marching Wildcats are now 11 years old. They were nice uniforms when they were new, but they are now in a state of deterioration and uncleanliness. Cosmetically, they are also outdated compared to the design trends seen currently in the marching arts world. 10 years is a typical cycle for the replacement of marching uniforms.  In order to advance the band's competitive edge, we are looking to buy brand new, custom designed uniforms that will not only represent our school's colors, but also give us an edgy look that stands out from other schools in our competitive circle.

We have been working with two companies on designs for new uniforms. As we are still receiving designs from these companies, we haven't made a final decision yet on what design to pick. However, we know for certain that the cost will be expensive for these new uniforms. Our uniforms will cost an estimated $13000 to $18000 depending on which design and company we go with.  The Galva Performing Arts Boosters have already indulged in cost saving measures. We have already purchased used bibs and plumes for a little over $1000. These items brand new can run upwards of $6000 by themselves!

For now, we are starting our fundraising campaign at $6000 to get the ball rolling. The new purchases will include new jackets, hats, and other small accessories to each uniform. We are looking to purchase 50 sets of uniforms in order to accommodate the band's projected growth and sizing.
