Galindo Family - Guatemala Volcano

Juan Fernando Galindo, my host dad from Guatemala, passed away while working on the relief efforts and trying to evacuate people from the affected areas of the volcanic eruption in Guatemala. I had the pleasure of knowing him from my time during Peace Corps, when he, his wife, and three daughters welcomed me into their home for three months. He was a fantastic man and an unbelievably caring husband and father to his three beautiful and intelligent girls. 

I am since back in the states but am hurting for my family in Guatemala. I am hoping to send donations to my host mom, Mariela, to help alleviate financial burdens associated with losing a significant other so abruptly, such as school for the girls, and any other costs the family runs into during this period. Friends and family - I would love any support you could give for this beautiful family. 

For delivery of funds, Mariela will receive the funds by delivery of a cashiers check or a wire transfer through Western Union.

Juan Fernando Galindo, papa de la familia que me acogió, es uno de los que falleció de la reciente erupción del Volcán Fuego. Tuve el placer de conocerlo de mi tiempo en Cuerpo de Paz, cuando él, su esposa y sus tres hijas me dieron la bienvenida a su casa durante tres meses. Era un hombre fantástico y un padre increíblemente cariñoso con sus tres hermosas hijas.

Estoy en los Estados Unidos pero estoy lastimando a mi familia en Guatemala. Querría enviar donaciones a su esposa, Mariela, para ayudar a aliviar las cargas financieras relacionadas con los costos del funeral o cualquier otro costo, como la escuela para las niñas.
