For nearly a century, University of Michigan medical students have looked forward to the first weekend of December to volunteer their time and enthusiasm by standing on the corners of Ann Arbor collecting donations to support children in need. Tag Days is a tradition beloved by all - an opportunity to make meaningful impact on our local community, and embrace the holiday spirit by wearing colorful "tags." Contributors wear a tag to show their support.

Galens Medical Society is the longest-standing service organization at the University of Michigan Medical School. Galens is dedicated to supporting social programs and extracurricular opportunities that promote the health and well-being of children in Washtenaw County. Dating back to 1927, the annual Tag Days fundraising drive has become an Ann Arbor tradition.
