Galaxy's Surgery

Donation protected

My name is Galaxy and I am about 3 years old.  I have just found out after xrays, ultrasounds and a bone scan that I have elbow dysplasia and I am fundraising to raise money for my left elbow arthroscopy surgery. My doctor says the surgery is necessary for me to live a pain free life.  I am looking to raise enough money to cover the cost of the surgery, any extra donations will he donated to the Animal Hope and Wellness Foundation .

Any contribution would be greatly appreciated...

Here is my extremely emotional story...

I came to the US from China on the 16 March 2018. That same day my pawrents lost their beautiful chocolate lab Coco.

You see I am a YULIN survivor!!!

I was one of only four dogs rescued at the dog meat market by Marc Ching and Animal, Hope and Wellness Foundation (my angels). I suffered horrendous torture and watched my furiends and my puppies being murdered.  Yulin dog meat festival is held every year for a 10 day period, and each day my fellow furiends were boiled alive so hoomans could savor their meat.

After I came to the US I adopted my parents on the 25th April. The first time I met my big sister Fudge was the first time I had wagged my tail. She was a chocolate lab just like me. I was afraid of humans because humans were abuse. Hoomans had kept me in a cramped cage for 2 years and forced me to have babies and then took my babies away from me to eat. My skin was patchy and my fur was missing, I was only 40 lbs . I would go to the vets weekly for checkups. My eyes were still lifeless it was like i had given up, but when i watched my sister Fudge play with the hoomans and other dogs I saw hope.

Any sudden sound would make me hide it could be a door, opening a letter being placed on the counter. My parents did the best they could but I was very nervous, I think it even took me a few month  to learn to sit. I soon put 28 lbs on but my body was not used to being over 40lbs.

Unfortunately I lost my big sister Fudge on Christmas Day she taught me its ok to trust my humans, she showed me love.

Today i am a happy looking dog but, my mental scares may never heal and i suffer from ptsd. I am slowly trusting my parents more, but wary of other humans. And as my journey continues i now have to face surgery for elbow dysplasia which my parents are worried about because i suffer separation anxiety and more important i interpret pain that is caused by humans as being bad.

My parents started an Instagram  account for me from day 1 so you can follow my journey -  @galaxyincalifornia

Thank you for reading my story.
