Recently, we were informed of my mother's declining health. It came as a shock to us as my mother had always lived an active, healthy life.

But we were positive and began treatment as fast as possible. After her first treatment, she declined and was taken to the ER. She was in happy spirits and showed so much strength. She talked about all the things she would do when she got better. After she was stabilized, she was taken to a center for rehabilitation where she showed so much promise; she was slowly starting to walk. One day, she said she wasn't able to breathe, so she was taken to the ER again. After a couple of days, we were told that there was no longer anything that could be done. She quickly declined, and on November 16, 2025, she passed.

My mother was the glue, the strength to our family even in her last days she cared only about her family. She was empathetic, kind and loving. She was adventurous and resilient. She always brought joy to any room she entered, as her smile and laughter lit up an entire room. Although, this has been extremely hard for our family we know that she she wants us to keep going, to be happy and continue on. So with the little strength we have we must.

Recientemente, nos informaron del deterioro de la salud de mi mama. Fue una sorpresa para la familia, ya que ella siempre había llevado una vida activa y saludable.

Pero mantuvimos una actitud positiva e iniciamos el tratamiento lo antes posible. Tras su primera sesión, su estado empeoró y la llevaron a la sala de emergencias. Estaba animada y demostró mucha fortaleza. Hablaba de todo lo que haría cuando se recuperara. Una vez estabilizada, la trasladaron a un centro de rehabilitación donde mostró una gran mejoría; poco a poco empezó a caminar. Un día, dijo que no podía respirar, así que la llevaron de nuevo a emergencias. Al cabo de un par de días, nos dijeron que ya no había nada que se pudiera hacer. Su salud se deterioró rápidamente y el 16 de noviembre de 2025 falleció.

Mi madre era el pilar, la fuerza de nuestra familia; incluso en sus últimos días, solo le importaba su familia. Era empática, amable y cariñosa. Aventurera y resiliente. Siempre contagiaba alegría a cualquier lugar al que entraba, pues su sonrisa y su risa iluminaban toda la habitación. Aunque esto ha sido sumamente difícil para nuestra familia, sabemos que ella quiere que sigamos adelante, que seamos felices y continuemos. Así que, con las pocas fuerzas que nos quedan, debemos hacerlo.
