Galahad’s Sanctuary needs your help like never before! It’s been a big struggle to cover the costs of caring for our precious rescue animals in this tough financial climate, plus the recent drought has added another layer of worry. (A lot of these photos were in greener and happier times).

Galahad's Sanctuary has rescued, rehabilitated and rehomed many animals, including camels, horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, alpacas, pigs, chickens, roosters, as well as dogs. We currently have 55 animals onsite, but have helped to rescued and rehomed many more.

Galahad's Sanctuary has experienced the driest summer and last winter in my memory here. There has been some rain recently but only a low amount. The grass went many months ago, and the dams are the lowest I’ve seen. I’m facing surging hay prices, with rapidly decreasing availability. Usually I hard feed for two seasons and then the animals feed off the pasture in the paddocks for the other two seasons. Now I'm hard feeding all last year and all this year. There is no grass in the paddocks. The costs are devastating with regular water cartage and more hay and feed required then ever before. Then of course I have ongoing vet bills on top. Every donation brings life saving hay and water to 55 rescued animals. Literally all of my salary and the B&B help to keep us afloat, but we need more help. Asking for help does not come easy or lightly but I do it for the animals. ♥️

Your financial support makes a huge difference. I dream to do so much more for animals, so I am in the process of applying to become a charity to assist with grants and donations for further reach and care.

But our rescue animals keep smiling at the life they lead at our sanctuary and that’s what keeps me inspired. They have past tales of sad, lonely and abusive treatment and to see them ask for nothing but respectful care and food is a joy.
