Stem Cell transplant

My son-in-law, Ian, has been diagnosed with CMML, a type of leukemia.  He is currently preparing for a stem cell transplant planned for late August, 2019.  Just before and for several months after the transplant, Ian will live in a special apartment near the hospital  in Seattle with a caregiver due to his suppressed immune system.  Ian's insurance will not cover the cost of this apartment which will run about $3,000 per month.  Funds raised will go toward this expense.  Any funds left over will go to Ian's sister, his stem cell donor for her travel expenses which also are not going to be covered by insurance.
