When someone suffers a medical emergency in a remote area such as Gairloch, every minute matters.
The Gairloch Community First Responders are trained local volunteers who can be dispatched by the Scottish Ambulance Service to provide immediate, life-saving care while an ambulance is on its way. In a remote rural area like ours, that early response can make all the difference.
We are raising funds to continue to equip, train and support a team of volunteer responders serving the communities of Gairloch and surrounding areas. This includes essential response bags, equipment, and ongoing training for volunteers.
These are not extras—they are the essential tools that allow volunteers to step in at critical moments and help save local lives.
How funds will be managed
All funds raised are administered by Gairloch Community Council on behalf of the Gairloch First Responders group and are ring-fenced for this purpose.
Your support
Every contribution—large or small—helps ensure that when the call comes, someone local is ready to respond.
Thank you for supporting your local First Responders.
