GAR - Gainesville Area Rowing crew consists of kids from various schools/home schooled in our local area. Our crews have worked very hard this season with strict dedication, especially with a variety of weather changes! We are so proud to be able to send 4 boats (WITH A POSSIBLE 5TH BOAT) to Nationals in Sacramento, CA this year. JUNE 8 -10!
Men's U17 Single - JJ Dubois (Buchholz) - JJ is a freshman and is unable to compete but we are certain he will be at Nationals for 2019! Keep watching! Just won BRONZE at Southeast Regionals!
Lightweight Double - Kailey Croft (Buchholz) & Madison Witherington (Eastside) - Just won SILVER at Southeast Regionals!
Women's Quad - Falynn Barnett (Eastside), Catherine Sarosi (Eastside), Cristina Lucas (Gainesville High) & Alexandra Popielarz (Buchholz) - Just won GOLD at Southeast Regionals!
Men's Quad - Alex Robertson (Eastside), Evan Bell (Gainesville High), Garrett Bauer (Buchholz) & Brett Pearson (Buchholz) - Just won SILVER at Southeast Regionals!
Monies Raised will help offset the expense of this much earned CALIFORNIA trip for our 10 athletes and their coaches!
-air fare
-race fees
-hotel for 5 nights
-transporting and/or rental of boats
-3 meals a day & a lot of snacks
-transportation for all to and from hotel/venue/restaurants/airport
-insurance & incidentals
