Gaila lost her home

Our beautiful family friend Gail Schaefer lost her home on 31st December 2019 to fire in Coolagolite Far South Coast NSW. 

An unexpected ember dropped near her house early in the morning and the fire came so fast Gaila was only able to save herself and her niece and dogs that were staying with her... Driving away with their lives and only the clothes on their backs.

Gaila built her house herself with so much love and attention over many years and she is in total shock that it is all gone in such a quick moment.

Gaila has worked at gulaga gallery and bookstore in central tilba for over 20 years and is one of the most friendly, caring and thoughtful people that I know - anyone who has met her in the shop would say the same.

It is a totally heartbreaking situation and one that needs a lot of help and support!
