At age 55, Gail K. Milbut passed away suddenly yet peacefully in her sleep on July 10, 2022 at her family home in Dunmore, Pennsylvania.
We, her family, are humbly asking for donations to cover the costs of her celebration of life and funeral services as well as household bills and expenses. (more below)
*please feel free to donate via gofundme, PayPal (@DavidMilbut), or Venmo (@david-milbut)
Any excess funds will be placed into her youngest child and only son’s college fund as he is entering his senior year of high school in the fall.
Gail’s last night on earth was spent having a date night with her beloved high school sweetheart and husband, supporting local musicians, laughing, singing, and dancing with her loved ones. Throughout her life she’s been a lover and supporter of the arts & music and it brings so much comfort knowing that her final waking moments were spent doing the things she loves most.
Born in South Amboy, Gail resided in New Jersey until moving to Pennsylvania with her beloved family. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt, God-mother, friend, and so much more.
Gail lived her life with an open heart, an open mind, and open arms; her bright soul and magnetic energy were able to touch the hearts of so many people across the globe.
She worked as a privacy specialist for Empower and was also a long time employee of Prudential. Both in her professional life and in her free time, she was a fervent advocate for LGBTQ+ rights & equality and Mental Health Awareness. Her kind spirit helped the hearts of many, especially those disenfranchised; She actively went out of her way to take the time to help her friends and family- there were no strangers to her, only friends she had yet to make.
Gail is predeceased by her mother Patricia Devine. Surviving are her adoring husband of 32 years Dave Milbut, her children Melissa, Monica, and David Jr., her father Harry, her siblings Frank, Bobby, and Greg, and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
“Fare you well, fare you well I love you more than words can tell Listen to the river sing sweet songs To rock my soul”
