I’m asking for your support for a special friend who lost her daughter today, April 27th, 2020. She’s a very private person and she is not yet aware we are doing this❤️
I have a friend, the sweetest lady who has been through SO MUCH this past year.
Her daughter was diagnosed with cancer and she had to take over the care of her 2 growing teenage grandsons, who are coincidentally the age of my boys (16 and 13. (?)) This means running them to all their sports, their schooling and of course trying to keep up with feeding them. She had enough on her plate taking care of herself and her home with her limited income and medical conditions (making it hard for her to walk ), before all of this happened, but her children are her world and didn’t think twice to step up and help❤️
Her daughter, Asha tried to be strong for her boys. She did her best to maintain her life while working from home (in CA) through her illness. She would come visit my friend Gail in Las Vegas on the weekends to allow her mom to help her.
The countless stories I heard from her about how much weaker her daughter was growing, the amount of times her own boys would have to pick their mother up off the floor, out of the bathtub because she was too weak....broke my heart every time.
Several months ago (before Thanksgiving), her daughter was placed in the hospital full time for her treatment. There were times when it looked like she was making slight progress but would then regress. Since CV19, My friend and her grandsons have not been able to see their mother/daughter in over a month.
This morning she passed.
My heart is so broken for her
She lives in Vegas and is going to need so much help. Financial for the final arrangements, for the mounting medical bills they accumulated, for taking care of the boys, Even having to think of feeding the boys in the coming days is going to be impossible. (I remember how having such amazing friends and family bring a meal to my family while I attended to my brother’s arrangements was SUCH a blessing. It’s something you don’t even think about until you are in that situation.)
If you are able to contribute, Please know that your act of kindness will live on 10 fold through Gail and her grandsons❤️ But either way, if you could PLEASE keep this sweet family in your thoughts or prayers and send her any extra love and strength that you can. She has NO other family around to help her be strong for herself and her grandsons that lost their beautiful mom this morning.
