Gaia’s New York Dance Comp Fundraiser!

Gaia has been given the amazing opportunity to perform with her dance squad, iSTAR Academy, at the World Dance Championship in New York this July!

iSTAR are fundraising to pay for the coaches to attend and Gaia understands that to help make it possible for us to go, she will also need to fundraise. So, being the determined girl that she is, she has decided to do one fundraising activity per month leading up to the trip. We will post regular updates and photos on here, detailing her fundraising progress and achievements.

Any amount raised will go towards Gaia's flights, accommodation, insurance, rehearsals and costumes.

Her first fundraising activity will be the Youth Race on Saturday 1st March as part of the Brighton Half Marathon. Gaia is not a keen runner, so this will be a challenge for her! She would definitely much rather dance the mile ;)

In the following months, she will be doing an organised beach clean and swimathon (in a pool rather than the sea!). We will update as soon as we have confirmed dates and there will more events to follow!

Dancing is Gaia’s happy place, so she would really love it if you can please sponsor her!

A message from Gaia:

It is my dream to dance on stage in New York at the World Dance Championships! I have always wanted to go to America and going there to do my favourite hobby will be so AMAZING!!!!

I know that it will be a very expensive trip but I am willing to work extremely hard to get sponsorship to help pay for it. To compete with my dance squad (iSTAR) at an international comp is a really exciting opportunity I don't want to miss!!
