Gage's autism treatment

Hi, my name is Renee Johnson and my son is Gage T. Johnson.  I want/need you to know our story.  I was diagnosed with cervical cancer 8 years ago(at age 31), I was told I would never have a child.  To make a long story short, it took my husband and I 5 years to have him, but we beat the odds.  He is our miracle child.  He is our everything.  Around a year old (maybe even before) we noticed something wasn't "right."  Everyone kept telling me he was fine. Everyone kept telling me, just wait until he's 2.  I KNEW something wasn't right.  The moment that hit me like a ton of bricks was when he was 18 months old and we were at a splash pad. All the children were running around, playing, screaming, laughing...Gage was sitting in the middle of the splash pad, by himself, playing with a little truck as if no one else was there. He didn't notice the children, never looked up or anything. That's when I knew my poor little boy was stuck inside his own head. That's when I realized I couldn't just wait until he was 2, so I had him evaluated.  I'm glad I did.  He's autistic.  He's beautiful, he's adorable, he's sweet...he's autistic.  It's what every parent dreads.  Those words will forever ring in my ears.  But I will NEVER STOP fighting for him!  I will NEVER stop trying to make his life better.  
 
There is a treatment that has made huge improvements in children with autism, stem cell therapy. They take the child's own stem cells (if stored) or donor stem cells and give the child an IV infusion. Some children have made small gains. Some children have made dramatic gains. My son is 2.5, the sooner he does the treatment the more likely it is to be more successful. His brain is still forming and the stem cells could make the connections that he doesn't have. The cost of this treatment is a lot, and more than we can afford - $20k. But I will do everything and anything I can to get him this treatment. This could be life changing for him. He is my miracle, he deserves more than I can ever give him.  He is my baby and my little stinker.
 
When he was diagnosed, I cried and cried.  I cried and wondered if my son would ever be able to tell me he loves me.  I can't tell you what that pain is like.  I pray that one day he can truly tell me that.  I know he will...with the stem cell therapy.  I KNOW THIS...I feel this.  If there is anything you could do to help us I would be forever in your debt.
