Gagen's Radiation treatment

Gagen, our son, is a 15 year old boy who has primary diffuse leptomeningal neuroglioma neoplasm tumors. (DL-NGT) In November2017 Gagen experienced back pain by December 2018 we discovered he had a rare brain cancer that lined the meningeal layer of his brain and spine.  After a couple of different chemo treatments it appeared that the tumor was stable. As of the scan on October 21st 2020 Gagen's tumor has grown extensively in size and he will be needing radiation treatment. Gagen is a part of the St Jude's kids but only for the chemo and medical oncology side, but the radiation oncology and radiation is different. Due to Gagen's rare diagnosis he doesn't fall into a clinical trial therefore St. Jude is unable to accept him for radiation. The family will be going to the closest facility that has a proton radiation beam for his radiation. The travel is 2. 1/2 hours away.  There will be medical, travel, food, and lodging that the family will need to come up with. This fundraiser is to support those costs.
