Gage Rice Rehabilitation Support

Hello friends and family, 

As many of you know, my nephew Gage was in a tragic accident a few days ago, struck by a truck while he was riding his bicycle home. The impact was severe and caused many injuries, the most critical being a torn aorta, several broken bones from the hip to the tibia, and a loss of oxygen to the spinal cord causing complete paralysis from the waist down. The hospital staff has called him their miracle, as these injuries should have been fatal. Our Gage is strong though and is fighting every step of the way. As he undergoes a series of surgeries, we are seeing slow, but steady progress. However, the paralysis is may be permanent.

As you can imagine, he is facing a very long road to recovery and we have been so overwhelmed by the outpouring of thoughts, prayers, support and offers for help that we have been receiving. Since so many people have been asking his mother, Adrian, how they can help, I wanted to offer this gofundme as an option to those of you interested in donating towards his recovery. Not only will there be significant medical bills and a leave of absence from work, but Adrian will also be facing other challenges such as finding a place to live that is wheel chair friendly.
