Gage & Katelyn’s IVF Journey

Gage and I are starting the IVF process to become parents and need your help making this dream come true. One of the obvious challenges with pursing IVF is the financial piece, and unfortunately it is not covered by insurance. If you know me personally you know that I hate asking for help; however, we know that sometimes it’s okay to ask and lean on people for help/support. The decision to have posted this wasn’t something we have taken lightly, and we appreciate everyone whether it be by contributing financially or through prayer.

It has been a major challenge to get pregnant and grow our family. I have struggled for years with infertility due to my diagnosis of PCOS. Multiple fertility medications, three HSG’s, laparoscopy surgery, failed IUI’s, one miscarriage, and a hysteroscopy d&c to remove several polyps later, we’ve came to the conclusion that the best possible option for conceiving would be to proceed with In Vitro Fertilization (IVF). During in vitro fertilization, eggs are removed from mature follicles within an ovary. An egg is fertilized by injecting a single sperm into the egg or mixing the egg with sperm in a petri dish. The fertilized egg (embryo) is then transferred into the uterus.
