For my Trail Life Servant Leadership Project, I am building a gaga ball pit for Big Bone Baptist Church, along with a net to catch the ball from flying over a nearby hill. The youth group at Big Bone Baptist has been in need of an easy, reliable, and fun outdoor activity, and I want to provide them with a solution that will last for years to come.
I chose this project because I have seen how much the youth group enjoys being outside, but they often lack a consistent outdoor activity that everyone can participate in. By building a gaga ball pit, I hope to give them a go-to game that is accessible, engaging, and encourages friendly competition. The addition of a net will help keep the game running smoothly and prevent the ball from getting lost, making it even more enjoyable for everyone involved.
This project will benefit not only the youth group and visitors, but also the church staff, who will have an easy option for organizing outdoor activities. I believe that having a gaga ball pit will also provide the church with new outreach opportunities, helping to bring more young people into the community and share positive experiences. I am committed to using quality materials and reliable building methods so that the gaga ball pit will stand the test of time, with an impact I hope will last at least ten years. Your support will help me make this vision a reality, and any contribution is greatly appreciated!
