It is with broken hearts and extreme sadness that we announce the sudden passing of Gael J. Yepez Starzynski, age 17, on May 3, 2025.

Gael was a bright and deeply loved young person. Gael’s warmth, humor, and larger-than-life personality will be etched in our hearts forever. His unexpected passing leaves an immense void in the lives of his family, friends, teachers, and acquaintances.

We are raising money to cover the costs of the funeral and memorial services.If you would prefer to donate outside of GoFundMe, contributions can also be made via Venmo (@BRIANAPYEPEZ-1) . Every gesture, big or small, is deeply appreciated and means so much to the family.

Gael has touched the lives of many and it is our duty to help his family in their time of need. All funds raised will go to Gael’s family to lighten the financial burden of the funeral expenses.

Visitation will be held at Preston Funeral Home, 153 South Orange Ave, South Orange, on Sat, May 17th from 3:00 - 7:00 PM, where all who loved him are welcome to gather, share stories, and honor his memory.
