Gaby's Fight: Overcoming Thyroid Cancer

Hello everyone,

I have created this go fund me for someone extremely special to me and my family. If you know Gaby (Ana) you know she has a heart of gold. I don’t think I need to describe her a lot since you all know exactly who she is. She is the most selfless person I know. And this is why I made this go fund me and not her lol. Gaby is holding on to God like I’ve never seen anyone do before. But I told her she is not alone, she has a family in Christ and she needs us as she navigates through recovery of the removal of her complete thyroid after finding cancer in it. The recovery will take some time and this will help with medical bills and sustain for her family. This is what she wants you all to know:

About a month and a half ago I got news that would turn my world…

A thyroid cancer diagnosis.

After taking care of everyone and everything around me, my body was asking me to take care of myself. I had taken a few months off after being discharged off work. I was finally putting my family first.

It was so easy to get knocked off the boat with the news of this new cancer diagnosis, but God.

Since my doctor found a small lump on the right side of my neck I told the Lord to have His way. That He had all of the control because I knew I couldn’t do it on my own.

With a lot of prayers and by the Lord’s strength I was able to stand believing and hoping for a miracle or for the Lord to use the surgeons hands to work on me.

I had surgery on June 26th and now in recovery and have know let my family take care of me.

It has been a process but as the Lord says in ‭‭Deuteronomy‬ ‭31‬:‭8 “The Lord himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged.”

I would like to say thank you to God primarily, my hope is that everyone can know who He is and have a relationship with Him. Surrender it all to Him, as I have done. Trust that His ways are better.

Next, don’t be afraid to get your yearly physicals done and your thyroid checked out. Feel your neck for nodules.

Lastly, be willing to receive the help of others. As a giver that was a hard one for me but I know that it’s also the Lord that touches peoples hearts.
