Hello everyone,

My name is Betxy, and I’m the oldest daughter of Gaby, my amazing, strong, loving mom. It hurts to write this. It makes me emotional and even a little angry that I have to do this, but I love my mom more than anything, and I’ll do whatever it takes to get her the help she needs.

She was recently diagnosed with stage 4 breast cancer, and everything has been happening so fast. I’m just shocked, heartbroken, and a little upset this is all happening so suddenly. She is currently under the care of Dr. Jessica Kreitzberg and will be starting treatment this week at St. Francis Cancer Center. Procedures are already being scheduled, medications are being discussed, and we’re suddenly facing a new reality that we weren’t prepared for at all.

My mom is everything to us. She has two sons, one is only 9, the other 19, and I’m 22. She also has a sweet 2-year-old granddaughter who lights up her life every single time and a 1-month-old poodle. She has so much left to live for, to see, to experience. She means the world to all of us.

My mom has always worked very hard. Her entire life, she’s been a provider, making sure there was food on the table, a roof over our heads, and love in everything she did. She’s never asked for much, but she’s given so much to so many people. She’s the kind of person who sees the good in everything and everyone, and she shares her love without hesitation.

But now, as chemo, procedures, and medication begin, I don’t think she’ll be able to work anymore, and that’s where we truly need help. This diagnosis has changed everything so quickly, and the costs are already adding up. I’m doing the best I can, but I can’t do this alone.

That’s why I started this GoFundMe. To ask with a heavy heart from me and my family for any help you can give. Every donation will fund with treatment, medications, procedures, and keeping our family going while my mom focuses on healing. Me llamo Betxy y soy la hija mayor de Gaby, mi increíble, fuerte y amorosa mamá. Me duele escribir esto. Me conmueve y hasta me enojo un poco tener que hacer esto, pero amo a mi mamá la quiero más que nada en el mundo y haré lo que sea necesario para que reciba la ayuda que necesita.

Recientemente le diagnosticaron cáncer de mama en etapa 4, y todo ha sucedido tan rápido. Estoy impactada, desconsolada y un poco molesta porque todo esto está sucediendo tan de repente. Oreta está bajo el cuidado de la Dra. Jessica Kreitzberg y comenzará su tratamiento esta semana en el Centro Oncológico St. Francis. Ya se están programando los procedimientos, se están discutiendo los medicamentos y, de repente, nos enfrentamos a una nueva realidad para la que no estábamos preparados.

Mi mamá lo es todo para nosotros. Tiene dos hijos: uno de solo 9 años, el otro de 19 y yo de 22. También tiene una dulce nieta de 2 años que le alegra la vida cada vez y un perrito de un mes que ama muchísimo. A mi mamita le queda muchísimo por vivir, por ver y por experimentar. Significa mucho para todos nosotros.

Mi madre siempre ha trabajado muy duro. Toda su vida ha sido proveedora, asegurándose de que hubiera comida en la mesa, un techo y amor en todo lo que hacía. Nunca ha pedido mucho, pero ha dado muchísimo a tanta gente. Es de esas personas que ven lo bueno en todo y en todos, y comparte su amor sin dudas.

Pero ahora, con el inicio de la quimioterapia, los procedimientos y la medicación, no creo que pueda seguir trabajando, y ahí es donde realmente necesitamos ayuda. Este diagnóstico lo ha cambiado todo tan rápido, y los costos ya se están acumulando. Estoy haciendo lo mejor que puedo, pero no puedo con esto sola.

Por eso abrí este GoFundMe. Para pedirles con un pesado corazón, de mi parte y de mi familia, cualquier ayuda que puedan dar. Cada donación se destinará directamente a ayudar con el tratamiento, los medicamentos, los procedimientos y a mantener a nuestra familia a flote mientras mi madre se centra en su recuperación. Si no pueden donar, por favor, compartan, corran la voz, oren por la salud de mi mamita y por nuestra familia. Cualquier cosa que puedan hacer para ayudar será muy apreciada.
