NEW MOM AND BABY NEED HEART SURGERIES
My name is Kathy, and I am asking for help to save some people in my family. My new granddaughter, Aurora, and her mommy, Gabriella, are both in need of medical procedures as soon as possible. Aurora was born with a heart murmur, hypertrophy of her right ventricle, and pulmonary artery stenosis. She could develop an obstruction as her hypertrophy progresses, and will need constant monitoring as she grows.
Her mother, Gabriella, is far worse off. Gabriella has Severe Asymmetric Septal Hypertrophic Obstructive Cardiomyopathy with a murmur near her mitral valve. Gabriella is in need of surgery as soon as possible. The Mayo Clinic in Jacksonville, FL, is the closest facility with the ability to handle the delicate surgery Gabriella needs, but they do not accept her medical insurance. The initial appointment is going to cost $5000. She also needs to undergo some testing for the appointment, which will not be covered by her insurance. We are trying to raise at least $10,000 for the family, so that at least the costs of the tests and initial visit will be covered. We do not yet know what the cost of the pre-op, surgery, and post-op visits will be, but we do know that we need to raise as much as possible, as quickly as possible.
Gabriella is a 23 year-old young woman with a long life ahead of her, and with a sickly newborn who needs her. We don't want to lose her, and we want her to be able to grow old with our family and her friends. The heart condition that Gabriella has, only occurs in about 200,000 people on the planet, and of them, about 45% just drop dead without warning. The only way to help us keep Gabriella around is to get her the surgery she needs as quickly as possible.
Because of that, I am asking for donations of any size. My future daughter-in-law needs your help, and my granddaughter needs her mommy. Please help us help them.
