Hello my dear friends,

It’s not easy for me to ask for help and this is an especially hard thing for me to write. Those of you who have known me for a while have been fortunate to witness the many iterations of my life; every year emerging as someone new. It has reached that time in my life where I am making the decision to trust myself and take the biggest leap I have made thus far.

Top surgery is something that has been on my mind for years and I am finally at a point where it’s attainable for me, but the last hurdle I’m facing is a classic one. While I’m very fortunate to have access to Medicare and a health fund, this surgery will cost me around $15,000, including;

This money will also help me take 4-6 weeks off of work following the surgery.

Being openly queer is an active choice that myself and others make every day and it doesn’t get any easier. Whatever money is left over after everything is paid for will be donated to Transcend Australia, a support network for trans and gender diverse people in Australia.

As well as this fundraiser, I am hosting an event at Echo&Bounce on April 12th from 5pm to get community involved and celebrate the talent in my close circles. You can find the link to the event here!

As hard as this is to ask for help, I am so grateful that I have a community that I feel I can lean on. This fundraiser will be updated with any progressions and new events.
