Gabriel’s journey rehabilitation

Gabriel much loved son of Shelly and Shaun and twin brother to Raphael and Sunday had a seizure on Tuesday, stopped breathing and was rushed to hospital, this came on the back of suffering headaches for several days. The hospital in Bendigo did tests and found a mass in his brain, he was put into an induced coma and late in the night once stabilised he was flown to Royal Children's Hospital. Michelle Birnie and Shaun Guest had a very stressful drive from Bendigo arriving late into the night. Test revealed no tumour but a bleed from an aneurism. The next day he was moved to Royal Melbourne where a team of top surgeons performed what I would call a miracle which took 3 hours. Going in they gave a 50 percent chance as the aneurism was a large one. Gabriel has now been moved to Royal Childrens Hospital and the journey of assessment begins to check his vitals - vision/speech/muscle response. News so far is that he is breathing unaided and that he has raised his hand....all a good sign. As I write this he is having an MRI to determine what is going on. I will send through further info as it comes to hand. We have set this GoFundMe campaign to raise money for Shelly and Shaun to alleviate financial stress as there will be a big journey of recovery. Many thanks from the extended family and we will keep you updated. Any donation big or small great appreciated xo
