Since last year, it has been you who has touched his life. His illness began in 2016, when he has difficulty controlling sphincters, high intensity headache and dizziness. Magnetic resonance showed a tumor of approximately 4 centimeters in diameter, located in the midline of the cerebellum, which is 90% occluded the Silvio canal and the IV ventricle, exerting critical pressure on the brainstem and producing a hydrocephalus The treating Neurosurgeon, Dr. Anthuan Hazkour, interprets that the patient has a hemangiblastoma.

Thanks to your donations and to the team of Venezuelan doctors, a high pressure ipsi peritoneal ventricular bypass valve was placed, which helped to drain the fluids in the brain. This allowed him to recover his motor functions, as well as recharge himself with life and strength. It also allowed us to gain time to look for another alternative to surgery to remove the tumor from the brain.

Throughout this year we searched for ways to finance the Gamma Knife treatment in the United States, Colombia or Brazil. Numerous organizations, doctors and associations were contacted to ask for their help. Unfortunately, the tumor has grown with a prognosis to invade the right hemisphere, which has made this method not enough to remove the tumor.

Now two urgent interventions are required, to keep him alive and healthy. The first operation involves fracturing the skull and removing a large part of the mass, for which reason it will also need at least two (2) months of intensive therapy.

Gabriel continues to live in Venezuela where medical supplies are almost non-existent. Therefore with the donations you have given him and the help we will continue to receive, we will buy the surgical kits, medications, nutritional supplement and pay the cost of his surgeries, radiation treatment and therapy needed after.

El Dr. Gabriel Primera nuestro querido angel! El que nos ha llegado a tocar y a curar de una manera sanadora a lo largo de su vida.  Quien siempre ha estado dispuesto a dar su mejor sonrisa, a regular su calma para aliviar nuestras enfermedades y nuestro dolor, así como ayudarnos a superar los problemas de muchas formas. Quien ha entregado amor de manera incondicional con su familia, amigos, colegas, vecinos y hasta personas extrañas que llegan en su vida.

Desde el año pasado has sido tu quien ha tocado su vida. Su enfermedad comenzó en el año 2016, cuando presenta dificultad para controlar esfínteres, cefalea de alta intensidad y mareos. A través de resonancia magnética se evidencio un tumor de aproximadamente 4 centímetros de diámetro, ubicado en la línea media del cerebelo, el cual esta ocluyendo en un 90% el canal de Silvio y el IV ventrículo, ejerciendo presión critica al tallo cerebral y produciendo una hidrocefalia. El Neurocirujano tratante, el Dr. Anthuan Hazkour, interpreta que el paciente tiene un hemangiblastoma. 

Gracias a tus donaciones y al equipo de médicos Venezolanos se le coloco una válvula de derivación ventrículo peritoneal ipsi lateral de alta presión, que lo ayudo a drenar los fluidos en el cerebro. Esto le permitió recuperar sus funciones motoras, así como recargarse de vida y fuerzas. También nos permitió ganar tiempo para buscar otra alternativa a la cirugía para extraer el tumor del cerebro. 

A lo largo de este año buscamos la manera de poder financiar el tratamiento de Gamma Knife en Estados Unidos, Colombia o Brasil. Se contactaron numerosas organizaciones, médicos  y asociaciones para pedirles ayuda. Desafortunadamente el tumor ha crecido con pronostico a invadir el hemisferio derecho, lo cual ha hecho que este método no sea suficiente para extraer el tumor. 

Ahora se requieren dos intervenciones urgentes, para mantenerlo vivo y sano. La primera operación plantea la fractura del cráneo y remover gran parte de la masa, por lo cual, también necesitara al menos dos (2) meses de terapia intensiva aproximadamente.

Gabriel continua viviendo en Venezuela donde los insumos médicos son casi inexistentes.  De manera que con lo recaudado hasta ahora y lo que seguiremos recibiendo le compraremos los insumos quirúrgicos, medicamentos, suplementos nutricionales y pagaremos los gastos de cada una de las intervenciones, radiación y terapia intensiva. 

Su cirugía es urgente y para continuar brindándole los tratamientos que requiere esperamos continuar sumando esfuerzos y donaciones.
