Gabriella’s Dream: A Boutique Inspired by Selena

Hello Everyone,
My name is Gabriella, I am Co-Founder of Baddist Ariel. I am here to tell you my story of why I want to have my own boutique inspired by Selena’s boutique.
Since I was young, I admired Selena—not just for her music, but for the way she followed her dreams fearlessly. She proved that you could shine both on stage and in business. When I learned that she opened her own boutique, something inside me lit up. I thought, if she can turn her love for fashion into something real, maybe I can too. When I was in high school, I listened to her music and heard her story, and I became one of her biggest fans. She reminded me why it was so important to get your high school diploma. From there, a spark began; I wanted to finish high school and have a business of my own. Selena showed me that fashion can be a stage too—a way of performing without music, a way of telling the world, this is who I am.
My boutique is my dream come true, and it’s built on the inspiration Selena gave me: to believe in myself, to celebrate my culture, and to shine unapologetically.
This is my big thank you to her for making me keep going and never giving up.

When I first dreamed of opening my own boutique, I thought passion alone would carry me through. I had the designs, the vision, and the excitement. But just like Selena, I quickly learned that no dream is built alone.

I need help.

I needed guidance on how to run a business—the behind-the-scenes things like keeping track of money, finding the right suppliers, and reaching customers. I needed financial support, because fabrics, rent, and decorations don’t come cheap. Most of all, I needed encouragement, because chasing a dream can feel overwhelming when doubts creep in.

Selena had her family supporting her, pushing her forward, and standing by her side when she opened her boutiques. That inspired me to lean on my own circle—friends, family, and mentors who believed in me. They reminded me that asking for help doesn’t make my dream smaller; it makes it stronger. Being a full time student, mother and working part time job can sometimes get in the way of my dream goal.
If you would like to support, any donation-big or small- would mean the world to me and bring me one step closer to open day! Thank you for believing in me and being part of my journey. ✨
